Do-It-Yourself LUT-based Linearization of Image Sensors
نویسندگان
چکیده
Imaging sensors are linear over a large part of their operational range. Nevertheless, behavior becomes non-linear when approaching saturation. This is undesired if such used for scientific measurements. In this work, simple and efficient off-chip method proposed image sensor linearization. First, the response characterized with constant irradiance sequence captures at several integration times. Then 1D look-up table calculated to compensate nonlinear LUT can be applied raw data before further postprocessing. The higher signal-to-noise ratio captured demonstrate benefit extended restore linearity while being easy implement computationally efficient.

This paper provides detailed description of a non-destructive, low-cost, and low-time consuming technique for producing high-resolution casts for the observation of taphonomic modifications on bone surfaces. The aim of the whole process is to obtain molds that accurately replicate the original bone surface at both the macroand microscopic levels. The high quality transparent epoxy casts produce...

It can take ages to meet the right partner. So much so that plants lost their patience millions of years ago and thought up something else: the art of selfing. Many flowering plants are indeed capable of extensive in-breeding – by way of a rather subtle form of hermaphroditism – to ensure their spread and survival. The common mouse-ear cress, Arabidopsis thaliana, which has become the model pla...

We wrote down this collection of design patterns, because they describe well-known practice. They all have been used in building flexible systems or frameworks. We call them “doit-yourself reflection”, because they follow some of the principles of reflective systems, accessing program elements by the program itself. They index program elements by data values (e.g. strings as names) not by progr...

Biological anthropologists have become increasingly interested in using an energetics perspective to study human evolution and adaptation (Leonard & Ulijaszek, 2002). Energy dynamics, the acquisition and allocation of metabolic energy over the life course, are important to evolutionary research for a number of reasons. First, energy represents a key interface between organisms and their environ...
